Abandoned Mine No. 5 is one of the Locations in the game The Long Dark.
General Overview
The in-game name appears as "No.5 Coal Mine".
The No.5 Coal Mine is small coal mine in Desolation Point. The east entrance is near the path to Lonely Lighthouse and runs through to the west Entrance near Hibernia Processing.
The interior of the mine is pitch black and is next to impossible to navigate without a light source. A single flare will easily provide light for long enough to traverse the mine if the player moves quickly. A storm lantern would be ideal.
There is a locker at the eastern entrance of the mine and a box in the center containing coal. Coal can also be found on the floor of the mine.
