Rabbits are one of the types of animals available in The Long Dark.

Rabbits appear at various locations across the world, however they do not roam like deer or wolves. Rabbits are often found in small groups and will repopulate quickly. Each Rabbit will have roughly between 1 to 1.5 kg of meat on them.

You can harvest a rabbit's pelt by skinning it. This will give you Rabbit pelt which can be used for crafting Rabbitskin Mitts.

A Rabbit can be caught using a Snare, making them easy to catch and not resource intensive (no need to use bullets or suffer injury). In turn, they provide a poor amount of calories compared to wolves or deer.

CAUTION: It is a much higher chance to catch food poisoning when eating Rabbit meat. The same goes for Deer meat, and Wolf meat.
