Sandbox mode is a free exploration mode with no set goal. It is currently the only game mode as of alpha since story mode isn't available. When starting sandbox mode you begin in a random location in the region you choose. The current regions you can explore are Mystery Lake, Coastal Highway, Pleasant Valley, Desolation Point, Timberwolf Mountain, and Forlorn Muskeg.
Difficulties
There are four different difficulties for sandbox mode as followed:
- Pilgrim - For new or experienced players most interested in pensive exploration.
- Voyager - For new or experienced players looking for a balance between exploration and survival.
- Stalker - For veteran players looking for a punishingly challenging survival experience.
- Interloper - For expert players looking for the ultimate wilderness survival challenge.
